RGH Users Looking At That New Dashboard: Read This First!

Microsoft is in the process of releasing a new system update to gamers worldwide. The new 15572 update brings some new stuff and of course blocks the ability to perform the Reset Glitch Hack. It'll be the end of the line for you, if you don't have your CPU key or NAND dump. Here is what the new security measure means for you, if you have aXbox running the RGH.

If you already have a backup of your CPU key and/or NAND dump, then you are fine, as that's all you need to perform the RGH after you upgrade. However, if you do not have either, then now would be a good time to get those from your Xbox, before you update. Other than that, you will need to have a NAND dump that fits these criteria:

• It was previously exploitable.
• It has to come from the same Xbox that you are performing the RGH on.
• For Phat NANDs, it has to be one from the 14717 or 14719 dashboards.
• For Slim NANDs, it has to be one from the 13146, 13599, 14699, 14717 or 14719 dashboards.

No other dumps will be work with the new dashboards from this point forward. Here's the implementation that's causing all of this:

With the new 15*** update, M$ has added a new key to their hash calculation for the rc4 key. It's basically just the first 16 bytes of the header, which include the version number, entrypoint, and size. These are all per-CB, per-version, so we cannot take a keystream from a 15*** CBB and use it to make a 14*** CB because the CBA on 14*** is unable to calculate the rc4 key no matter what we change.

 There you have it. If you have a RGH'd box and plan on keeping it, you want to make sure you have the necessary files backed up.

Reports are flooding in that Microsoft has begun rolling out SystemUpdate version 2.0.15572.0 (Summer 2012 Production Flash). There are no immediate official details from MS regarding it yet, but an announcement from Major Nelson is likely forthcoming. The update is being deployed in waves, so if you haven't received it yet, give it some time and you'll eventually be prompted for it. So far, users who have updated are reporting no adverse effects (on the surface) as far as firmware-flashed 360s are concerned. The team will take a closer look and analyze whether there are any important underlying changes that affect firmware or RGH. Our usual warnings apply.

J-Runner v0.2 Beta – Build 275 released

A new build of the all-in-one JTAG/RGH app by ‘Team-Xecuter’ has been released!

This all in one tool integrates with ‘Xebuild’ to read/create/write X360 NAND images to able perfect setup builds for Glitch’ing & JTAG hacks.

It been a few weeks since the last build of J-Runner was released and this one like the rest "has been developed with the end-user in mind to make the entire process intuitive, simple and seamless from start to finish".

360Squirt has announced ‘The Squirter Dongle’ for the Xbox

Now with this DONGLE you can RGH your Xbox 360 without any PC.

Team Squirt has returned and officially announced that their Squirter Dongle will arrive next month in June.

Of course Team-Xecuter is rockin’ hard-core with their line-up of products, but The Squirt team is fighting back to say they’re not done squirting away, and they have produced a video showcasing their new product called: The Squirter Dongle.

This dongle basically allows to dump/write your Xbox 360 NAND without any need of PC connected to your 360, or other special tools, as the dongle has its own OLED screen, which walks you thru the baby steps in RGH’ing your Xbox 360 console all by its own ‘dongle’ self!

The Squirter dongle also seems to offers 360 console hackers the possibility of running homebrew apps, as you can see in the video with their "Snake" app.

But when the need rises you will sadly have to borrow your friend’s PC to update your Dongle via USB to get a fresh load of files!

PLAYSTATION3 DRIVE EMULATION

No hacking, no flashing, no modding .

Emulation is the future. A team is currently working on a new hack for the Playstation3.

The blueray player, Sony's PCB has been cracked and costs can thus be gekloont. The team probably Wasabi or Wiikey team is currently working on this for the board to connect to an external HDD. This can be downloaded games played as Wasabi360 and Xkey for the Xbox360.

A major retailer in China has also indicated that this year is released.

Union Jack Xbox 360 console confirmed for May 25 release

Celebration Pack includes skins for the console, controller and Kinect sensor.

The Xbox 360 Celebration Pack will launch in the UK on May 25, according to a listing on Amazon.co.uk.

Announced back in February as the Kinect Family Bundle, the Celebration Pack appears identical bar the inclusion of Union Jack skins for the console, controller and Kinect sensor.

Team Xecuter Teases The Fusion

Now I'm not talking about this Fusion nor the Ford Fusion. I'm talking about the Tem Xecuter Fusion, dammit!

The Fusion is the team's project which will conjure up a custom kernel for jtagged and RGH'd Xboxes. When paired up with a dashboard, the Fusion will disable all of Microsoft's protections, add trainers (cheat code) and provide a fully customizable interface.

In the screenshot of an early build of an app dubbed "FusionSetup", you can see several of the announced features already provisioned for. On top of that, there's that Trinity in the drop down menu. In other words, there's support for the Slims as well. See so for yourself:

Team Xecuter is definitely hitting some old notes, in terms of their X2 and X3 modchip products. It's pretty sweet to see something similar going for the Xbox 360. I wonder what's in those System Link Mode and System Encryption menus.
