Driver: San Francisco Reported As First XGD3 Game

As the summer winds down, a surge of games are being released - Madden NFL 12, Deus Ex and Dead Island, there is one bringing all of the attention. That game is Driver: San Francisco. The wheelman is back but he's coming with that new anti-piracy feature called the XGD3 disc format. The conclusion has been made after the game failed to verify in ABGX. What does this mean? Take a read:
At this stage in firmware development, Driver: San Francisco is playable if you have an Xbox flashed with LT+ V1.9 or higher as it has support for XGD3 originals. However, it will be unplayable as a backup until LT+ v2.0 is released. In Addition, it is not known if Driver: San Francisco has any other protections such as AP2.5 (which would in turn require LT+ V1.91).
Driver: San Francisco is scheduled to drop next week Tuesday. (At least in North America)

Reset Glitch Hack on Slim By GliGli

Yes you read right. You can run unsigned code on any console (Phat or Slim) with any dashboard with a "reset glitch". (And some hardware soldering) Best of all, it cannot be patched through a future dashboard update. Take a look at it in action:
As you can see in that video, GliGli has managed to load Xell Reloaded onto his Slim and launch a N64 emulator. Of course, you aren't limited to just this as you can always prep your console for homebrew and games once the necessary rebooters and such become available.
If you want to try this for yourself, here's a list of the hardware material that you'll need:

[Released] PS3 Media Server 1.40.0 Beta 2

The creators of the awesome PS3 Media Server have once again updated their application, here is a quote from the changelog:
General:
Built from SVN r813 (OSX version from r812).
Released as beta because many code changes haven’t been widely tested yet.
People have been testing the SubJunk Build, but I have so many things in there right now that aren’t in the official trunk so the testing doesn’t apply to the trunk as much as it usually does.
This will hopefully give us a more trustworthy idea.
Changelog:
  • Updated OS X MPlayer to enable external VOBsub, ASS/SSA and Fribidi support
  • Allow update checks to be performed manually (Windows only)
  • Allow automatic update checks to be enabled (Windows only)
  • Simplify PMS customization for packagers of custom builds
  • Logging fix for headless configurations
  • Added experimental support for iPad / iPhone
  • Fixed DVD ISO playback on OS X (thanks, jjmojojjmojo!)
  • Added support for the AirPlayer app
  • Added support for Samsung TV model SEC_HHP_TV (thanks, coax-!)
  • Added Aperture support on OS X (thanks, coax-!)
  • Added thumbnail support for images (some code from http://www.rayinblu.com/ps3mediaserver)

UPDATE: multiMAN v2.04.00 - Now More User Friendly

We told you DeanK was back from vacation and working on developing his multiMAN project. We also reported him updating v2.04.00 to include support for Wallpapers and Dev_Flash. Well, besides making his latest update include expanded XMMB support including switching display modes via the "SIDE menu", DeanK has made the mutlifunction tool easier to use by not allowing game updates of a higher firmware thanks to multiMAN's built-in detection.
