It was bound to happen eventually. Despite Infinity Ward doing everything they could to keep hackers out of Modern Warfare 3 (even going so far as to fly out some of the hackers themselves to consult on how to stop them), the game has now been hacked.

Hopefully Infinity Ward will get this cleaned up quickly, starting with bans for the offending players assholes. IW has already outlined theirstrict banning policy so at least we know that these select few will end up in ban-land in no time.
It’s really unfortunate that this would happen on the same night that the MW3 servers went down. No word yet on whether or not the two are related.
