New iXtreme LT+ v3.0 Update..........

From c4evaspeaks.com:
C4eva shared with us in private today some further details about the upcoming iXtreme LT+ v3.0, which is now targetted for release sometime after December 6, 2011. Earlier this week, Microsoft?s Major Nelson announced December 6 as the official release date for the final version of its Fall 2011 Dashboard Update. Scheduling LT+ v3.0 for release after this date will allow c4eva and the team a chance to analyze the final update so as to ensure no additional changes to v3.0 are necessary.

With the new iXtreme LT+ v3.0, original game discs will need to be analyzed by Xbox Backup Creator in order to gain disc topology data. This data replaces the need for AP2.5/dae.bin data and enables any AP2.5 challenge to be answered correctly. C4eva noted that the topology data method is very efficient ? using only 24kB of space ? and extremely accurate. Due to differences between them, each game will require its own individual set of topology data. A risk of backups being detected poses itself if the same topology data is used between two different titles. This risk is mitigated by using abgx360 to make certain that the backup contains the appropriate topology data.

Backups will remain the same layout, but will either need to have the topology data inserted by the new abgx360, or be re-dumped with the new Xbox Backup Creator. C4eva reconfirmed that all current AP2.5-active XGD2 and XGD3 backups with old AP25 replay data are not backward-compatible with iXtreme LT+ v3.0 and will indeed need to be patched or re-dumped and re-burned. Non-AP2.5 titles, however, will remain unchanged and do not require re-burning.
MW3 clan tag hack, tutorial and warning

If you have been playing MW3 on Xbox Live you have probably seen some gamers with weird characters in their clan tags, many of you thought that this was the result of a hacked lobby, but it’s not, in fact it is much easier to do than you probably ever thought. Today we will show you how to have Xbox 360 controller buttons in your clan tag – but we must warn you that this may be considered as hacking, so do it at your own risk!
It is really quite simple, to cut a long story short if you use certain pairs of characters in your clan tag it will show up as one of the buttons. If you scroll down to the bottom of this post you can see a video showing you how to do it.
There are 17 different buttons which you can show, perhaps the most popular are the A, B, X and Y buttons. Below we have embedded an image showing you what needs to be entered for each one.
I have not done this myself, but if you look carefully at the video below it doesn’t take long to do. The main thing to remember is that the first time you enter the characters it won’t work, but once you go back in to edit your clan tag you will see a weird box character, exit again and the corresponding button should show up in your clan tag. What is also quite neat about it is that it also works for naming your classes.
Like many glitches this is pretty pointless, in fact I really hope Infinity Ward patch the game so that this no-longer works as it just looks messy in the lobby in my opinion, do you agree?
What neat words have you managed to come up with? My person Favorite is a capital ‘F’, the ‘A’ button and the Right Trigger button, it’s the simple things in life that please me….

Great MW3 Video ......

Xbox.com: Enhanced! New Social & Video Sections

In the coming days, the familiar “My Xbox” section of Xbox.com is going away. Fear not: It’s being replaced with a significant update that will make it even easier to see what your friends are doing on Xbox LIVE. My Xbox is being superceded by the new “Social” section, which not only lets you see at a glance what your friends are up to, but also gives you early access to one of the coolest features coming in the next Xbox 360 dashboard update. That’s right: Xbox.com users will be the very first to try the new Beacons feature, which lets you mark games you want to play with others, making it easier to find friends who want to play the same games.
That’s not all we have in store: Other site enhancements are on the way, including the ability to search the Zune video catalog and buy movies and TV shows right from your browser.
If you’re used to clicking “My Xbox” to get to the page, note that the Xbox.com navigation menu is undergoing some changes to make room for our new Video page and some other new items. The new link to look for is “Social.” The good news is that, if you’re signed in to Xbox.com, you’ll be taken right to the Social page when visiting Xbox.com.
At the top of the social page, you’ll see a group of tiles in the new Microsoft style we lovingly call Metro. Watch this spot for links to Xbox LIVE events, preview articles with all the juice details on the hottest new items on Marketplace, new video and game releases, Gamer Spotlight, and more. To the left of these are quick links that show you how many friends are online, and how many messages you currently have.

Below your avatar you’ll find handy links to common tasks, such as viewing your Profile, redeeming Xbox LIVE Marketplace codes, and checking your Download Queue. Now we get to the really fun stuff: The Friends Activity column shows you the popular games that your friends have been playing, who is playing those games right now, and who else has played them recently. (More on this in a few.) In the right-hand column, you can see the games and applications you’ve most recently loaded, as well as how many friends are playing them, and below that, you can view a list of your online friends and what they’re currently doing.
Click “Activity” at the top of the screen to view the new Activity page. At the top, in the My Recent Activity section, you’ll see the titles you’ve most recently played and which of your friends are playing them as well, in addition to any titles you’ve set a Beacon for. To set a Beacon for a title that you want to play with others, you’ll just find it in your activity list and click the “Set Beacon” button. You can have up to three Beacons active at a time, and you can optionally add a custom description (such as “From 7-10 pm Pacific” or “Horde Mode!”).

[Release] PS3 Media Server 1.50.0 Beta 2

Here’s another update to the PS3 Media Server, the easiest and simplest to share media via your wifi to your PS3.  Remember this is only a Beta, so everything may not be perfect. To Quote:

No new features have been added since 1.50.0 Beta 1 but many bugs have been fixed.

Sony Reduces gameSharing Slots

Well bad news for those of you that want to gameshare. The giant enemy crab has stated that as of November 18th the number of slots that a user would be able to gameshare with, has been reduced to 2 slots per system. Previously we had the freedom to have around 5 gamesharing slots per console, but no more. However for those of you who are fortunate enough to have a PSP system will gain an additional 2 slots togameshare with. Here is a quote from the official PlayStation website regarding this issue.

We’d like to inform you of some upcoming changes to the usage policies for PlayStation Network game content. As of November 18, 2011, the number of devices that can be activated on one PlayStation Network account for game content purchased from the PlayStation Store will be updated.
For game content purchased after November 18, 2011, a new policy will apply and the number of devices that can be activated will be as follows:

PS3: Users will be able to play the game on up to 2 activated PS3 systems.
PSP: Users will be able to play the game on up to 2 activated PSP systems.

Please note that this update will not affect game content purchased before November 18. The PSP rights include PSP-1000/2000/3000 series as well as the PSPgo system.
PlayStation Network users are able to change the activation setting through each device, and Sony Computer Entertainment plans to provide a new PlayStation Network account management website where users will be able to deactivate particular devices attached to their PlayStation Network account via their PC.

Accounts Will Not Be Banned!

Yesterday I posted an article to discuss the recent activity of Stephen Tolouse and his posts made on Twitter claiming that Xbox users could risk account bans if they play Modern Warfare 3 online before its official release date. However it would seem as if the tides have turned, and what caused yesterday’s bunch of unclear nonsense has now been clarified by the Director of Policy and Enforcement at Xbox. Recent posts on Twitter from the Xbox employeehave stated that Activision have no intention of banning your live account if you play MW3 online before the release date, as long as you have obtained the copy legitimately.
Just to round this up, Stephen Tolouse has caused a lot of confusion and panic amongst hopeful fans for literally no reason, just simply because the man doesn’t know how to answer a question, thank you Mr. Tolouse.
Finally a quick recap so this is clear to everyone, unlike what a certain staff member for Xbox Live did. You can play your copy of Modern Warfare 3 online before the release date as long as the copy is legal and not downloaded online.

MW3: Pre Release Madness

Stephen Tolouse, this may be a man you might of heard of, if not I’ll tell you who he is. This man is responsible for Policy and Enforcement for Xbox Live, in fact he is actually the Director for it, and this surprised me...a lot. You see this man is single headedly responsible for confusing thousands of egger Modern Warfare 3 hopeful fans by sending extremely confusing messages.
Recently Stephen Tolouse stated that anyone caught playing Modern Warfare 3 online on their Xbox account before the designated release date is risking a ban. Okay Mr. Tolouse, what if I pre-order the copy legitimately and I receive it a day early, then can I play online? Yes, wait...no...wait I don’t know. For those of you that are now confused...don’t worry so am I.
After making this announcement regarding the ban on accounts, he then stated that those who receive their copy early by legal means should have squat to worry about, sounds straight forward. However after saying this, the Director followed up by posting on Twitter that it is in fact not okay to play before the release date and urges fans to remain patient.
Just to make a bad situation worse, Kmart have starting dispatching orders earlier due to a shipping error. So the big question is...can you play your copy online before the release date? Who knows? By the looks of things Stephen Tolouse doesn’t.

REminiscence a.k.a. Flashback - PS3 Port

Flashback, also known as Flashback: The Quest for Identity in the US, has recently been ported to the PS3 for use on your jailbroken consoles. This has been brought to us by the same homebrew developer behind porting Another World to the PS3,Bobby6killer. You will need the orginal PC files (DOS or CD); and optionally, theAmiga music modules and the VOICE.VCE file from the SegaCD version (for in-game voice dialouge). Also, several languages are supported, including English, French, Spanish and German. This is the initial release, and you can find all the information about it below.

About REminiscence PS3
This project is based on the reverse engine made by Grégory Montoir, and reimplements the game Flashback, from Delphine Software, to be played on PS3.
