New Release Homebrew Game - Tron

Developer Mr.Goodfrag recently got some nostalgic inspiration to create a PS3 homebrew game based on the movie Tron. He has been away for a while, so lets hope we get some great releases from him.

PS1 Backups working on CFW 3.55

It seems a German ps3 Dev named ScHeVeNs has found a way to play ps1 burned backups using multiman

hi there, I am ScHeVeNs a German PS3 Developer, I have found a way, to boot any burned PS1 Backup Game, its not very hard to make… Requirements: PS3 with 3.55CFW (maybe also a 3.41 machine, but not tested in moment!) ( I use Rebug 3.55.2 for that ) multiMAN latest version! PS1 Backup on burned Disk …… Start your PS3, Insert your burned PS1 Copy, start multiMAN, go to filemanager mode, search for: dev_flashps1emu, Press X on ps1_emu.self Tada, your Ps1 Backup will now boot and you see the PSLogo Bootscreen. maybe this works also on PS2 Games Backups but i have a PS3 slim….and can not test this! Have fun with this…. And give $ony a slap in her ….. face. greetings ScHeVeNs this is living!!!

Wii64 port to the PS3

Well here is a project I have not heard of for a while. Some updated information comes from PS3 developer EmulateMii regarding his Wii64 port to the PS3.EmulateMii now says that hardware rendering is near completion since we heard from him last.

µTorrent & Vuze have integrated

Today I have found that both µTorrent & Vuze have integrated a few devices into their recent builds and the PS3 is one of them. Now you will be able to drag and drop media from your library to your device of choice and stream or transfer for easy playback. (µTorrent requires USB transfer)

iXtreme LT+ v2.0 Firmware Demonstrated Booting Gears of War 3 & Space Marine

After c4eva announced that XGD3 was defeated and was accounted for on both his0800 and LT+ firmware, a video has been posted demonstrating both Gears of War 3 and Space Marine on iXtreme LT+ v2.0. Let's take a look at how it works:

As you can see, everything that c4eva mentioned that would be included in thefirmware is shown. This includes the XGD3 ISO fitting on a standard dual layer DVD and the ability to install games to your hard drive.

Pretty sweet. There is no set release date on the firmware. As always, we'll keep you posted.

BoxZii XGD3 Support and Module2 Pictures

JFW DH delayed and possible exploit to play 3.6x+ games?

Looks like JFW DH, with its release date initially planned for October 1st, will be delayed. The DH crew is currently unable to give a date. On the other hand, they mentioned anexploit that will make us able to play 3.6x+ games.

As the title says, the JFW DH will be delayed for various reasons, including one of the devs working on OpenPStore is very busy with college, and the dev working on TheGrid Manager has had an accident while practising sports, resulting in him working much slower.


Without the plugin manager, we won't be able to control TheGrid plugins, and without OpenPStore we won't be able to communicate with the JFW DH update platform.


Everything was planned for the date of October 1st, but with those issues we will not be able to give an exact date (it could be just a week, or 2), we don't know, what we can guarantee is it will worth the wait, and once the JFW released, it will integrate an exploit (not right at release) that will allow you to play all future games (including 3.7x, etc), we will not release the method (this was always the mistake, release the methods) but this exploit is not keys related, as we don't need them anymore.

JFW 356 DH MA Custom Firmware Running Homebrew

The Google Translate is very poor but from what I gather here is a recap.

If you purchased a PS3 which came with official firmware 3.56 and that firmware version is the base firmware version of your PS3 which in turn does not allow you to simply downgrade using a flasher like Teensy++, Progskeet or E3 Flasher. You can use this to run a custom 3.56 firmware on your PS3 that allows the running of homebrew but with the aid of a flasher.

GliGli released a new version of the Reset Glitch Hack (RGH) that allows you to run homebrew software on any 360 console (except Xenon).

Microsoft System Foul Up Leads To Reversal of Recent Bans

It looks like some gamers may have fell victim to an accidental ban due to a mess up on Microsoft's end. Between August 29th and September 9th, users were banned by mistake in which has been accounted to a software error in the engine that Microsoft uses to enforce its Xbox Live policy. With the issue addresses, Microsoft is in the process of reversing bans and crediting users with 3 months of Live and 1600 Microsoft Points.

In Addition, it was mentioned that the process revolving bans will be revealed and discussed at length in an effort to rebuild trust and move away from this incident.

Must be a good day for some hacked console owners eh?

Progskeet – Solderless & Dual Nand

We haven’t heard a lot of progskeet recently. They have just announced progskeet as solderless. On top of that, they have also announced a dual nand setup. Progskeet seems to be getting better over time.

1 – PROGSKEET is 100% PIN to PIN compatible with the SOCKET tool sold from this site http://www.360-clip.com
Just connect the ProgSkeet 32 pin special flat cable. (please note that this version don’t support programming or reading with out the device is powered on. A new version will be released with the VCC pad to manage NANDS with a self power provided from PROGSKEET) 360-clip.com and also us we will offer this socket in a package together with the 20 cm 32 PIN flat cable.
2 – ADAPTOR PCB: This pcb is an adaptor from 50PIN ZIF PROGSKEET CONNECTOR (necessary for the coming “NOR SOCKET” solderless tools) to 2 x 32 PIN ZIF connector. With this adaptor progskeet is able to manage 2 NANDS on the DEVICE and also extra 2x SECONDARY NANDS (for dual nand feature). The kit include the 50 pin flat cable from PROGSKEET to ADAPTOR PCB.
3 – NAND PCB: This “optional” pcb has a 1Gbit NAND flash on board. Progkseet is able to use it like a backup nand or switch this nand and use it instead the NAND on the board of the device. The feature called “DUAL NAND” allow to support different NANDs ONLINE and test firmwares in a easy fast way. The software will be ready soon to support this feature, user can also attach a switch to progskeet to allow a fast selection of the NANDs without using the PC tool.
Progskeet support max 2 x NAND PCB on each ADAPTOR PCB, the kit include a 32 PIN 3CM flat cable (from NAND PCB to NAND SOCKET)
You can see a FULL PROGSKEET KIT SAMPLE where is clear how is the complete kit with 2x NANDS PCB and 2x NANDS SOCKETS (on the picture miss one socket sorry J ) but I think the concept is clear.
The big advantage of PROGSKEET is that can work on ANY CONSOLE / DEVICE, is study to be MODULAR and so is MUCH CHEAPER then any other solution that is specific addressed to a device.
The nice special FLAT CABLES are also easy to be fitted inside the device without bit problems, and also the KIT is removable in few minutes and is not PERMANENT.
We remember that PROGSKEET is an OPEN PROJECT study to be used in many kind of devices CONSOLES, SATELLITE, IPHONES, PENDRIVERS etc etc. “PROGSKEET NOTHING MORE THAN A GOOD NAND / NOR PROGRAMMER”.
